Incident Management

Coradiant provides two (2) products, TrueSight IM (Incident Management) and TrueSight AIM (Automated Incident Management) that are specifically designed to help IT solve web problems.

Traditionally, operational teams have had three tools at their disposal.

  • Device monitoring for health of infrastructure and platforms, from packets on a router to heap size in an application.
  • Synthetic testing for running scripts at regular intervals against known transactions to ensure selected transactions are working.
  • Flow-based monitoring to achieve insight into traffic patterns by port and client or server.

With Coradiant, IT operations can instrument important functions, watch key users, or drill down to specific parts of the infrastructure to see how they handle transactions. Reports on performance, availability, and traffic volumes are only a click away. When problems occur, they can quickly be detected, localized, and resolved.

Both TrueSight IM and TrueSight AIM support Watchpoints. Watchpoints can be setup to monitor any point of interest that helps support efficient Incident Management. Users can setup many different types of Watchpoints, including:

  • Response Headers / Content
  • A particular URL or page
  • Traffic from a certain part of the Internet
  • Requests for a particular hostname
  • Objects over a certain size
  • All visits from a particular customer
  • All transactions involving a new server

TrueSight AIM provides a compelling starting point for anyone trying to solve a web problem. It automatically detects and categorizes web problems or "incidents." The robust Incident Management (IM) capabilities of TrueSight AIM and TrueSight IM enable problems to be solved with high efficiency.

TrueSight AIM automatically identifies incidents related to traffic volume, slow web pages, or web errors.

Incident Management

Using proprietary algorithms specifically designed for the bursty nature of web traffic, TrueSight highlights in red exactly "where to look" for offending incidents that were the primary cause of web user problems.

All incidents can be automatically analyzed to localize the specific problem(s) needing IT attention. Automated analysis can include items that caused the incident or performance violations that changed during the incident.

Incident Automated

Forensic details at the user level are required to perform effective Incident Management (IM). TrueSight IM & TrueSight AIM identifies specific error classification types including Network (NW), Client (CL), Server (SV), Application (AP), Content (CT), and Custom (CU) while showing each error type experienced by every individual web user or by select groups of users. With such granular detail, already identified problems can be root-caused and fixed.
